PTI leader Asad Umar arrested from IHC premises:
The authorities have arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar from the premises of Islamabad High Court (IHC), one day after they had arrested PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
The anti-Terrorist Squad of the Islamabad police arrested PTI Leader.
Umar had been preparing a plea to file in the IHC Bar Room to seek a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan when the police arrested him from outside the room. Despite the efforts of PTI lawyers to prevent the arrest, Umar was taken away.
Following the protests that occurred after Imran Khan’s arrest, Umar, along with other PTI leaders, booked in two cases registered at Islamabad’s Tarnol and Aabpara police stations.
While Umar was with PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Senator Saifullah Sarwar Khan Nyazee, and Ghulam Sarwar Khan on the IHC’s premises, the police arrested him. After his arrest, the other three leaders returned to the Bar Room.
Lawyers and other party workers saved Qureshi from arrest after the police attempted to arrest him.

Rangers arrested former Prime Minister Imran Khan from outside Islamabad High Court, where he had gone to seek bail in multiple FIRs registered against him in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The law enforcement agency took him into custody from the courtroom and transported him in a black Vigo.
Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Justice Amir Farooq summoned the Inspector General of Police in Islamabad and the Additional Attorney General over the sudden arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan.
