PTI denies involvement in violence during a protest
Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) said that PTI was responsible for recent violent outbursts during demonstrations against the detention of their chairman, Imran Khan.
The ISPR statement, according to PTI, did not accurately reflect the situation on the ground, hence they have refuted these claims.
The military’s media wing had strongly criticized the events of May 9, calling it a “black chapter in history.”

Authorities have filed charges against key Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) officials in response to the attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ) and the looting of the home of the Lahore Corps Commander.
The RA Bazaar police station in Rawalpindi submitted the initial information report, which included 10 criminal sections, including 7 ATA, 353/341/440/441 PPC.
As per the FIR, a police team stationed near Gate No. 1 of the GHQ reported that an aggressive mob of 250 to 300 people, led by PTI leader Raja Basharat, attempted to enter the building by shouting slogans against the army.
However, the personnel deployed at the gate intercepted and stopped them.
A police team led by a senior superintendent of police is conducting raids to apprehend the former law minister of Punjab and perhaps 200 other participants in the GHQ attack.
Police charged several PTI leaders in Lahore
Police charged several PTI leaders in Lahore, filing FIRs at the Race Course and Sarwar Road Police Stations for the rioting that erupted in the city following Imran Khan’s arrest.
Station House Officer Aftab Nawaz lodged a complaint with the Race Course Police Station, resulting in charges against Azhar and 80 other people for violating the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for their alleged involvement in the attack on the vicinity of Club Chowk.

The FIR accuses Azhar of organizing the mob and using abusive language to malign the military, judiciary, and other sensitive institutions.
Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Rana Ashfaq has filed a complaint at the Sarwar Road Police Station in connection with the protests that took place in Lahore’s Cantt area.
The FIR includes charges of murder, attempted murder, and 20 other sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The case involves naming PTI leaders Khan, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Farrukh Habib, Musarrat Cheema, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Zubair Niazi, Asad Zaman, Murad Saeed, and Ali Amin Gandapur.
The FIR states that Mian Aslam Iqbal and Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed led the mob during the protests under the orders of Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Farrukh Habib.
PTI Chief Imran Khan Arrested
Rangers arrested former Prime Minister Imran Khan from outside Islamabad High Court, where he had gone to seek bail in multiple FIRs registered against him in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The law enforcement agency took him into custody from the courtroom and transported him in a black Vigo.
