Sources within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have confirmed that the party has distributed funds among key members to cover expenses related to its planned protest on November 24.
According to party insiders, the funds have been allocated to cover a range of protest-related costs, including travel and logistics. Each Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) has been given Rs300,000, while Members of National Assembly (MNA) have received Rs200,000 each.
However, some prominent members, including Aatif Khan, Junid Akbar, and Shakeel Khan, have reportedly declined to accept the funds.
Additionally, party officials and organizational leaders have been allocated Rs200,000 each to cover travel expenses and contribute to the logistical arrangements for the protest.
PTI’s Secretary of Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, confirmed the distribution of funds, noting that both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan and other senior leaders are utilizing these funds to manage protest-related costs.
Akram further mentioned that party leaders have been instructed to assist with the protest efforts in their constituencies, and any member requiring additional funds has been encouraged to reach out.
The allocation of funds comes as PTI prepares for its high-stakes protest amidst ongoing political tensions in the country.
