Police reported the arrest of prime suspect in Swat lynching case

The suspects are due to be brought before the court today for their legal proceedings.

Police have announced the arrest of the primary suspect involved in the Swat lynching case, where a mob took the law into their own hands resulting in the death of a man.

According to police sources, the suspect is scheduled to appear in court today for a remand hearing, following which he will be presented before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

Authorities revealed that the suspect had made a video statement after the incident, which subsequently went viral on social media.

In a significant development related to the incident in Madyan, where approximately 40 individuals were arrested on charges of blasphemy, they are also set to appear in court today.

These individuals are facing a range of charges under various sections of the law, including terrorism. SP Investigation Badshah Hazrat confirmed in an interview with news that the accused from the Madyan incident will be presented in the anti-terrorism court.

It is pertinent to mention that a case has been filed against a total of 2,500 individuals in connection with the Madyan incident. This underscores the widespread legal ramifications and the scale of the investigation into the tragic events that unfolded.
