RANIPUR: The Khairpur police apprehended five individuals once again after their temporary release on personal surety bonds. They were detained in connection with the case involving the demise of a 10-year-old girl named Fatima Fariro.
The apprehended five individuals are Ranipur SHO Amir Chaang, the head clerk, peon Imtiaz, Dr. Abdul Fattah Memon, the MS of Ranipur Hospital, and Dr. Hasan Ali. These individuals were released earlier, after their appearance before the DIG Sukkur’s investigative team. They were cleared of any wrongdoing.
Currently, the police have not arrested other suspects including Hina Shah and her father Fayyaz Shah.
The dead body of 10-year-old Fatima was discovered on August 13 in Asad Shah’s residence in the Ranipur district. Preliminary reports suggested her death was the result of foul play, with signs of physical abuse evident on her body.

Fatima was employed as a domestic worker in Shah’s household and had been buried without undergoing a post-mortem examination. However, her body was subsequently exhumed to conduct a post-mortem examination. It was revealed that she had been subjected to sexual assault before her demise.
The main culprit, Asad Shah, was formally charged in a First Information Report under sections 34 (about acts carried out by individuals in furtherance of a shared intention) and 302 (about the punishment for murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Following his suspension, Ranipur’s SHO, Amir Chaang, was taken into custody, and further apprehensions were made, including the doctor who was alleged to have fabricated a false report concerning Fatima’s death.
