LONDON/ISLAMABAD: The PML-N security guards humiliated journalists who wanted to report a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and party president Shehbaz Sharif in London.
The security guards showed rude behavior toward journalists who had congregated at Hussain Nawaz’s office. Journalists reached there to cover the meeting between the Sharif brothers (also former PMs) in London.
The situation escalated as the security personnel allegedly issued threats and utilized inappropriate language while interacting with reporters.
In reaction to this incident, journalists staged a protest, expressing their dissatisfaction and demanding action from the leadership of the PML-N.
This incident underscores the challenges journalists frequently encounter while endeavoring to fulfill their reporting responsibilities.
So far, the PML-N leaders are keeping mum on this issue and they neither condemned the incident nor apologized to the journalists. What prompted the security guards to humiliate journalists in London? PML-N leaders did not explain the situation till this time.
Nawaz Sharif is arriving in Pakistan on Oct 15
Meanwhile, amid widespread speculations, the return date of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has been officially confirmed by PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif.

Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be returning to the country on October 15 this year for the third time.
He stated that he would personally lead the PMLN’s election campaign.
Shehbaz Sharif officially announced the date of October 15 for Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan.
He pledged that Nawaz Sharif would come back to the country and abide by the law.
Former Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the necessity of holding people accountable to propel the country’s progress.
ECP’s responsibility to conduct free and fair elections
Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the PMLN dissolved the assemblies in accordance with the law. It is now the responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to conduct free and fair elections.
He provided assurance that the PML-N, as a political party, would stand by and support the ECP.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Nawaz Sharif’s name was not among the 300 to 400 names listed in the Panama Papers.
