PML-N Plans FIA Complaint Against PTI, Citing ‘Fake Propaganda Campaign’

Fake Propaganda Campaign

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced its intention to approach the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to file a complaint against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The move comes in response to what the PML-N alleges is a fake propaganda campaign orchestrated by the PTI to create controversy in the electoral process and instigate unrest within the country. Uzma Bukhari, a prominent leader of the PML-N, conveyed this decision during a press conference held in Lahore on Monday.

Emphasizing the party’s commitment to avoiding political vendettas, Bukhari asserted that those perceived as working against Pakistan’s sovereignty would not go unpunished. The decision to involve the FIA follows the circulation of a video by the PTI on its social media platforms. The video claimed that the PML-N had purportedly printed ballot papers at a Lahore-based printing press for the Mansehra region.

During the press conference, Uzma Bukhari dismissed the video as a “planted story,” linking it to what she described as the “flop drama and story” of former Rawalpindi commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta. She pointed out that this narrative had not been featured on any news channels but was exclusively propagated on PTI’s social media platforms.

The PML-N’s move to involve the FIA indicates a growing tension between the two political parties and raises questions about the authenticity of the allegations made by the PTI.

As the situation unfolds, the FIA’s involvement may shed light on the veracity of the claims and contribute to shaping the narrative surrounding these allegations of a fake propaganda campaign.
