PM Youth Program
Babar Saleem Khan, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Coordinator for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), emphasized on Sunday that the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme is being implemented in a transparent, fair, and non-political manner, with deserving and talented youth across the country benefiting from the initiative.
The program has been designed to ensure that there is no political bias involved in the distribution process, following strict directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to maintain transparency and fairness.
Speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony for students who successfully completed a digital media course organized by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Babar Saleem highlighted that thousands of laptops had already been distributed to students in Peshawar and other areas of KP.
The event was held at China Window, a Chinese cultural and information center in Peshawar, where Babar Saleem also engaged with the students and shared the ongoing efforts of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.
Babar Saleem reiterated that the program’s primary objective was to empower the youth of Pakistan by enhancing their skills and providing them with high-quality technical training. Beyond the distribution of laptops and scholarships, the program is committed to creating employment opportunities for young people, ensuring that they can contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
In a major development, Babar Saleem announced the launch of the “Digital Youth Hub,” an initiative spearheaded by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the PM Youth Program. This hub is designed to serve as a one-stop platform offering Pakistani youth access to education, skill development, career guidance, and employment opportunities.
The Digital Youth Hub will provide scholarships, digital skills training, job placements, internships, startup support, and even investment opportunities, aligning with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of a digitally empowered youth.
Later in the ceremony, Babar Saleem distributed certificates to students who had completed their digital media training and commended the China Window center for promoting Pak-China friendship while equipping students with important skills such as the Chinese language and digital media.
He also visited the center’s galleries, signed the Friendship Wall, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding and exemplary ties between the two countries, especially through the empowerment of the new generation.
