Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) customer misplaced his Canadian dollar-filled pouch at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, Pakistan, en route to Toronto.
According to a statement made by the flag carrier, a passenger on flight PK 789 on June 16 left behind a travel bag containing 3,035 Canadian dollars and other documents at one of the airport check-in booths.
It was the carrier’s claim that its employees recovered the purse and documents after the passenger had left and took them into custody.
As reported by PIA, the flight’s passengers were contacted and told about their items upon landing in Toronto.
As soon as the passenger learned of the good news, he submitted a letter authorising a relative to pick up the funds and documents from the PIA office.
