The arrival of 100 additional Peoples Intra-District Bus Service buses from China on Tuesday is good news for Karachi residents.
100 new buses of Peoples Intra-District Bus Service from China have arrived at Karachi port, Sindh Information and Transportation and Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said in a statement.
There will be red buses on Route 2 on July 1 and buses would be seen operating on all seven lines in Karachi within two months, according to Memon, who added the People’s Bus Service route one became operational yesterday.
As the provincial minister put it, the PPP works quickly to fulfil the promise made to Karachi’s residents. Besides the Red Bus Service, Orangi residents will soon be able to ride the Orange Line.
According to Sharjeel Memon, the Peoples Bus Service has delivered 240 new buses to Karachi.
He told Karachi residents that the PPP administration will deliver thousands of buses to the city within a year or two. Building a manufacturing facility has made progress.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former President Asif Ali Zardari, and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah are all to be credited for delivering the buses, according to a statement.
