ISLAMABAD: PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that the PDM-led government overcame challenges and avoided default through tough decisions.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asserted that the PDM-led government assumed power in April of the previous year. It encountered numerous challenges but effectively circumvented the risk of default through resolute and stringent measures.
Seemingly alluding to the ouster of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government through a parliamentary no-confidence vote, the premier said: “We came to power through constitutional way and leaving (the government) in a constitutional way.”
PM Shehbaz Hopes Kakar Will Ensure ‘Transparent, Impartial’ Polls
Meanwhile, the premier congratulated Kakar on his selection for the esteemed position, referring to the choice as a “welcoming” development due to Kakar’s Balochistan origins. Prime Minister Shehbaz praised Kakar as an educated and patriotic individual.
Highlighting the efforts of his own administration in achieving economic stability over the past 16 months, the prime minister hoped that Kakar’s interim government would uphold similar policies to maintain economic stability.
