During a meeting at the GHQ, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), while addressing a group of 38 students from Harvard University, US, emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to regional security matters and its pivotal role in fostering peace and stability in the area.

The Inter-Services Public Relations issued a statement on Friday, delineating the event. Notably, these students represented nine different countries.

Amidst a recent upswing in terrorist attacks, Pakistan remains resolute in its stance, refusing to yield to extremist elements.

Furthermore, the army chief reiterated that Pakistan would exclusively engage in negotiations with Afghanistan’s interim government, dismissing any engagement with specific groups or factions.

COAS Munir underscored Pakistan’s abundant potential. He also encouraged the attendees to shape their perception of the country based on their firsthand encounters during their visit.

He said, “Pakistan is acting as a bulwark against terrorism and the international community must realize the immense sacrifices given by Pakistan.”

In addition, the army chief brought attention to the ongoing human suffering and acts of atrocity within Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, along with endeavors to alter the demographic landscape.

According to the statement, the students expressed their appreciation for the COAS, recognizing the opportunity for a meaningful interaction.
