Pakistan slams the Indian defense minister for making threats to cross the LoC

Pakistan strongly condemns the Indian defense minister’s provocative statements regarding crossing the Line of Control (LoC). The remarks have been met with deep concern and are deemed unacceptable by the country.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemns Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s recent remarks regarding crossing the Line of Control (LoC) and encouraging civilians to support such actions.

The Foreign Office issued a statement expressing its concern over India’s provocative stance and readiness to cross the de facto border in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In a separate statement today, Defence Minister Singh once again made belligerent remarks. He declared that India is ready to cross the LoC to preserve his honor and dignity.

The Foreign Office advises India to exercise utmost caution as its aggressive rhetoric poses threats to regional peace and stability. Such behavior contributes to destabilizing the strategic environment in South Asia.

The statement highlights that India’s political leaders and senior military officers have a history of making irresponsible comments about Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

Observers have noticed similar remarks on previous occasions. Pakistan demands that such jingoistic statements cease, asserting that it is fully capable of defending itself against any aggression.

Pakistan strongly objects to India’s attempt to involve Pakistan in its populist public discourse. The intention behind this act is to fuel hyper-nationalism and gain electoral advantages, which is met with objection from Pakistan.

India’s claims on Jammu and Kashmir lack support from historical facts, legal principles, morality, or current ground realities. Jammu and Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed territory.

A democratic and impartial plebiscite will determine the final disposition of the territory, as stated in the UNS resolutions. The United Nations will conduct this plebiscite, reflecting the will of the people. Pakistan advises India to faithfully implement these resolutions instead of entertaining any notions of grandeur.
