The Pakistan Navy has announced its readiness to host the ninth edition of the Aman 2025 multinational naval exercise, scheduled to take place from February 7 to February 11.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), this year’s exercise will also feature the first-ever Aman Dialogue, a platform for global military leaders to discuss challenges in maritime security.
“The Aman Dialogue will be a significant highlight of this year’s event, bringing together Chiefs of Naval Forces, Coast Guard officials, and senior representatives to address regional maritime security issues and devise collaborative strategies for countering emerging threats,” stated the navy in an official release.
The exercise will involve participation from 60 countries, contributing ships, aircraft, and specialized personnel, including marines, special forces, and explosive ordnance disposal teams.
The naval exercise will be conducted in two phases—harbour and sea. The harbour phase will focus on seminars, operational discussions, counter-terrorism demonstrations, and pre-sail planning for sea-based operations.
The sea phase will include tactical manoeuvres and exercises aimed at maritime security. Activities will cover anti-piracy, counter-terrorism, search and rescue operations, gunnery drills, and air defence practices. A key event will be an international fleet review, attended by dignitaries from both Pakistan and participating nations.
The opening ceremony for Aman 2025 will be held at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard. During the event, the Pakistan Marines and the Special Service Group (Navy) will showcase their counter-terrorism expertise.
The ISPR also emphasized that joint operations to combat maritime crimes will form a core part of the exercise.
Commenting on the mission, the Pakistan Navy reiterated the motto of the Aman series, “Together for Peace,” and this year’s theme, “Secure Seas; Prosperous Future,” highlighting the critical role of maritime security in global prosperity.
