Pakistan and Poland held the 9th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) in Warsaw, where both sides reviewed the full range of their bilateral relationship and discussed ways to deepen cooperation.
The Pakistani delegation was led by Ambassador Muhammad Ayub, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe), while the Polish side was headed by Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, Secretary of State at Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also present were Pakistan’s Ambassador to Poland, Muhammad Sami-ur-Rehman, and Poland’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Maciej Pisarski.
During the meeting, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to strengthening relations with Poland across diverse fields, including trade, investment, defence, energy, science and technology, migration, agriculture, and higher education.
Both sides agreed to increase collaboration through high-level visits, parliamentary exchanges, and sustained dialogue. They also discussed regional and global developments of shared interest, with a focus on South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The consultations provided an opportunity for the two countries to identify areas of mutual benefit and align their positions on key international issues. They also agreed to enhance coordination at multilateral forums, such as the United Nations.
It was mutually decided that the next round of consultations will take place in Islamabad in 2026, continuing the momentum to further deepen bilateral ties and explore new avenues for cooperation.
