PESHAWAR / ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested Nisar Charsi, the owner of one of Pakistan’s most renowned eateries, Charsi Tikka, on charges of molesting foreign tourists.
Several videos featuring Nisar Charsi, the proprietor of the renowned ‘Charsi Tikka’ eatery in Peshawar’s Namak Mandi Food Street, went viral on social media. These videos depicted him behaving inappropriately with foreign female tourists.
In response to multiple citizen complaints about his misconduct towards foreign tourists, Peshawar police apprehended Nisar.

SI Naeem filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a case against him at Shah Qabool police station.
The police noted that Namak Mandi Food Street in Peshawar is a popular destination for tourists, and it attracts a significant number of visitors, including foreigners, who come to enjoy traditional cuisine. Following his arrest, the authorities presented Nisar before a magistrate’s court in Peshawar. In the court proceedings, the local court granted bail to the owner of the eatery.
