Online Driving License Services Launched in Sindh

Online Driving License

The Sindh government has introduced a new online service aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining driving licenses, making it more convenient and accessible for the province’s citizens.

This initiative allows individuals to apply for both learning and international driving licenses online, and there are plans to extend the service to include non-commercial license renewals in the near future.

This digital shift reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing public services and easing the bureaucratic burden on citizens.

As part of this new system, applicants seeking a learning license can now visit the dedicated website, dlsonline.sindhpolice.gov.pk, to submit their applications.

The process is designed to be user-friendly, allowing applicants to complete the necessary steps from the comfort of their homes.

After successfully applying for a learning license, individuals will need to wait for a mandatory 42-day period, after which they can proceed to apply for a permanent license at any of the designated branches across the province.

The launch of this new service was marked by an event attended by several high-ranking officials. Provincial Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar, during his address at the launch, commended the efforts of the Inspector General of Sindh Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Driving Licenses for successfully implementing the online service.

He emphasized that this initiative would not only make the license application process more efficient but also help improve the public image of the Sindh Police by showcasing their commitment to modernization and citizen convenience.

Furthermore, the Sindh government had earlier announced that all 11 driving license branches in the province are now fully equipped to issue international driving licenses.

As of September 14, this service became available to Sindh residents holding valid licenses, and they can now apply for international licenses through the same online platform.

Six branches in Karachi, along with branches in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana, are actively participating in this rollout.

By launching these online services, the Sindh government is moving towards greater digital integration and efficiency in public services.

The introduction of online driving license applications is expected to significantly reduce wait times, minimize paperwork, and enhance overall service delivery for citizens across the province.
