The Karachi Accountability Court honorably acquitted all the accused in the corruption reference of Steel Mills, giving them the benefit of the doubt.
The decision of Steel Mills Corruption Reference came after 9 years. The accused named in the reference, Samin Asghar, Asghar Jamil Rizvi, Chaudhry Shafiq Abbas, Tariq Irshad and other accused were honorably acquitted.
In the case, the NAB said that the named accused committed corruption in terms of contracts, which caused a loss of more than Rs13 million to the steel mills.
It should be noted that the reference against the accused was made in 2012.
