Nadir Shafi Dar appointed as CAA Director General for three-year

The Aviation Ministry has announced the appointment of Nadir Shafi Dar as the new Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for a term of three years. Shafi’s appointment marks the first leadership position filled since the CAA’s restructuring. Previously, Shafi served as the acting Director General of the CAA, stepping into the role temporarily until his appointment was formalized.

The decision was approved by the Prime Minister and followed by an official notification from the Aviation Ministry. Shafi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held various positions within the CAA over the years, where he has developed a deep understanding of the organization’s operations and challenges.

The CAA, which oversees Pakistan’s civil aviation sector, recently underwent a structural split, paving the way for Shafi to become its inaugural Director General under this new configuration. His appointment is anticipated to bring continuity and stability to the organization, with expectations for enhanced regulatory oversight and operational efficiency.
