ISLAMABAD: The brother and nephew of Sindh MPA Aslam Abro were killed in a shooting incident that targeted their vehicle today in Karachi. It is confirmed by the police.
According to the reports, unknown attackers riding motorbikes opened fire at MPA Aslam Abro’s car in Defence Phase 7, Karachi. At the time of the attack, four individuals were present in the vehicle, including Aslam Abro himself.
Tragically, Aslam Abro’s brother, lawyer Akram Abro, and his son, Shehryar Abro, lost their lives because of the firing. The crime scene revealed the presence of 9MM pistol shells, indicating that more than 25 shots were fired at the vehicle.
The police are actively involved in the investigation and have been in contact with the affected family. They plan to record statements from eyewitnesses to gather more information.
Preliminary reports from the police suggest that the attack may be a result of old enmity. Aslam Abro’s family, originating from Sindh’s Jacobabad district, is known to have previous disputes, which the police are considering in their investigation. The authorities will also be reviewing CCTV footage to aid in the inquiry.

PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the attack and categorized the brutal murder of Akram Abro and Shehryar Abro as an “act of terrorism.” He assured that the perpetrators would be swiftly brought to justice.

Police Arrested A Couple In The Mysterious Death Of DIG Shariq Jamal In Lahore
Meanwhile, the DIG Shariq Jamal died in suspicious circumstances at his residence. However, upon further investigation, the police discovered that the DIG had been at the couple’s flat at the time of his unnatural death.
DIG Lahore Shariq Iqbal died in mysterious circumstances.The arrested couple explained that Jamal had been with them at their flat, and when his health worsened, they took him to a private hospital in DHA. Doctors, nonetheless, declared DIG Jamal, dead upon arrival at 1:30 am.
