Momin Saqib Receives Outstanding Youth Leader Award in London

Momin Saqib, renowned for his passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to social impact, has been honored with the Outstanding Youth Leader 2024 Award.

At the 14th edition of the Pakistan Achievement Awards, celebrating the Power 100 British Pakistanis, Saqib was presented with the award by esteemed restaurateur Suleman Raza and BBC Entertainment Reporter Haroon Rashid. This accolade recognizes Saqib’s extensive contributions to entertainment, education, and social entrepreneurship.

With a social media following exceeding 6 million, Momin Saqib has made a significant impact in entertainment. His popularity surged with multiple film and TV drama roles and his role as host of the hit chat show ‘Had Kar Di’, alongside his viral cricket content. Saqib’s charisma and engaging interviews have resonated with audiences across Pakistan and beyond.

Beyond entertainment, Saqib’s social contributions have been remarkable. He co-founded Tayaba.org, a Forbes-recognized non-profit initiative, which has positively impacted over half a million lives by providing access to clean water in rural areas, addressing a critical need in Pakistan. His efforts in social entrepreneurship have earned accolades, including the Commonwealth and the British Government’s Points of Light Award, affirming his role as a changemaker.

Saqib’s dedication to education is equally impressive. Named the Pride of Pakistan by the Overseas Pakistani Foundation in 2017, he has excelled academically and professionally. His tenure as KCLSU’s first non-European President and his graduation with a BSc in Computer Science were followed by a Newsweek Scholarship for a Master’s in Global Leadership and Peacebuilding. He has been invited to speak at prestigious institutions like King’s College, Cambridge University, NYU, and Boston University, sharing his insights with the next generation of leaders.

As a valued staff member at King’s College London, Saqib contributes to academic and curriculum advancements and continues to inspire youth with his diverse achievements. His advocacy for technology adoption, particularly in blockchain, is evident through his co-founding of Web3Works and Web3Pak, which foster learning and growth in Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Web3Pak, with over 7,000 members, stands as a hub of innovation for young people embracing blockchain technology.

Additionally, Saqib has co-founded MEG, a popular restaurant chain in Pakistan with branches in Lahore. Despite being relatively new, MEG has seen impressive growth and expansion.

Previously honored with the “Rising Star of the Year” Award at the PAA in 2021, Saqib’s latest accolade, the Outstanding Youth Leader 2024 Award, signifies another milestone in his remarkable career. Saqib views this award as a reminder that “The real work begins after an award” and continues to advocate for diversity, discipline, and compassion. He dedicates this award to his father, Muhammad Saqib, and his brother, Bilal Bin Saqib MBE, acknowledging their support in his journey. Saqib’s message encourages youth to pursue diverse interests and resist societal pressures, marking him as a true beacon of hope and inspiration for current and future generations of Pakistanis.
