Ministry announces routes for Pink Bus service

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has introduced the Pink Bus Service to assist female students and teachers in Islamabad. The program will deploy 20 pink buses offering free transportation for women traveling within the city.

The designated routes for the Pink Bus Service are:

  • Route 1-A: Nilore to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS
  • Route 1-B: Nilore (Ziarat Stop to Secretariat)
  • Route 2-A: Bhara Kau to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS (via F-6)
  • Route 2-B: Bhara Kau to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS (via G-6)
  • Route 3-A: Humak to Secretariat
  • Route 3-B: Humak to F-11/1 FGCH&E&MS

These 20 buses, designed in a distinctive pink color, will serve both rural and urban areas in Islamabad. The initiative, a collaboration between the MOFEPT and district administration, aims to alleviate transportation issues for women accessing educational institutions and address the lack of adequate transportation options. The free service supports the government’s commitment to improving educational access for female students and teachers.
