ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), paid a visit to General Hospital. She inquired about the well-being of Rizwana, the minor girl who was reportedly subjected to torture by the wife of an additional sessions judge.
After meeting the family of the victim girl at the general hospital, Maryam Nawaz said, “This is our next generation. Their protection and education are the responsibility of the state.”
“An incident like Rizwana has come before the media. I don’t know how many such cases are hidden due to fear,” she further said.
She expressed her solidarity with Rizwana, a survivor of child abuse. She emphasized that regardless of the offender’s power or influence, they must face punishment.
NAB Closes Investigation Into Aleem Khan’s Housing Society Project
The executive board of NAB has revealed that they issued the closure order for the politician’s investigation in accordance with Section 31-B (1) of the National Accountability (Amendment) Act, 2022.
During the probe, the anti-corruption authority contended that the project allegedly lacked official approval to transform agricultural land into an urban settlement.
However, the anti-graft body has not closed its inquiry into the assets beyond means case, and Aleem remains under investigation.
