ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, Malaysian airline Batik Air announced that it will commence direct flights between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur starting on October 31, 2023.
Batik Air, following the success of its daily flights to Lahore, has announced the introduction of new services connecting Karachi and Kuala Lumpur. The airline plans to operate three weekly flights, aiming to strengthen ties between the two countries and facilitate both business and leisure travel.
Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, Group Strategy Director of Batik Air and Lion Group, has expressed optimism about this dynamic route. He emphasized their enthusiasm for this venture, building upon their achievements since establishing a presence in Pakistan in March 2016.
He stated, “Similar to our previously successful routes, we have strong confidence in the potential growth of this Karachi connection, further expanding our network.”
Given the positive reception of Batik Air’s Lahore route, he believes that the airline’s winning combination of excellent service, competitive fares, and efficient operations will lead to success on the Karachi-Kuala Lumpur route as well.
