LONDON/ISLAMABAD: Malala Yousafzai praised the remarkable achievement of fellow Pakistani Mahnoor Cheema. Ms Cheema set a new UK and world record by scoring 34 GCSEs with A-stars.

Malala hosted a dinner for Cheema and her family to commend her numerous accomplishments at the age of just 16. She described her as an inspiration to children in Pakistan and around the world. Malaya is the Nobel Peace Prize winner and education activist.

The two met after Cheema revealed that Malala had inspired her since she was seven years old, with Malala’s posters adorning her bedroom walls.

Mahnoor Cheema considers Malala her role model. She applauded her unwavering courage in the face of challenges, kindness, humility, and passion. The parents of both Malala and Mahnoor also attended the dinner at a restaurant in central London.

British-Pakistani student’s world record

Sixteen-year-old British Pakistani student Mahnoor Cheema has achieved a remarkable feat by passing a total of 34 subjects at the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) level.

Mahnoor accomplished this extraordinary record by successfully passing 34 subjects at the GCSE level. She set an unparalleled achievement not just within the United Kingdom but also on a global scale.

Mahnoor’s parents, Barrister Usman Cheema and Mrs. Tayyaba Cheema, originally from Lahore, Pakistan, moved to the UK in 2006.

A British-Pakistani student set a new world record in the UK.

As a private candidate, Mahnoor secured A* grades in 17 subjects. On Thursday, she added a further 17 subjects to her accomplishments. Thus she added a total count to 34 and established a new milestone.

Her exceptional performance covers a wide array of subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, English Literature, Latin, German, French, Classic Civilization, History, Film Studies, and Drama.

A decade ago, another Pakistani student Haroon Tariq set a record-breaking achievement. He scored a total of 47 in his International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) O Level and A Level exams.
