ISLAMABAD: Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has actively joined a campaign advocating for the safety of Palestinian children in Gaza. This action comes in response to the October 7 assault by Hamas, prompting Israel to engage in bombing in the region.
“Join me in adding your name to this petition demanding that Israel halt its assault on schools and places where children are seeking shelter, and that leaders reach a deal to release all children being unjustly held hostage or imprisoned,” she made a comment on Avaaz, a global movement, in a post on X on Thursday.
The campaign called for a ceasefire for children, saying that children held hostage by Hamas or the children living in fear of bombs falling in Gaza were in danger.

At least 3,785 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since Israel began bombarding the coastal enclave, the health ministry in Palestine said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Malala expressed her solidarity with Palestine. She did so after the recent bombing of the Al Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip and contributed a donation of $300,000 to support them.
FO Affirms Unchanged Plan For Repatriating Illegal Aliens
Meanwhile, “The government’s stance is crystal clear. The deadline for the voluntary return of illegal foreign nationals to their respective home countries is October 31st, and starting from November 1st, the implementation of the repatriation plan will adhere to Pakistani laws,” stated FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch during a weekly briefing.
In response to a query, she confirmed that a briefing session had taken place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the Illegal Foreigners’ Repatriation Plan (IFRP).
She went on to explain key aspects of the briefing, noting that the government had announced the plan on September 26 to repatriate all illegal and undocumented foreigners, including those who have overstayed their visas, with effect from November 1.
