Suicide bomber riding motorcycle blew himself near Army convoy
ISLAMABAD: The Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) for the Pakistan Army announced that a total of nine soldiers from the Pakistan Army were martyred in the suicide blasts that occurred in Bannu on Thursday.
The Army’s spokesperson confirmed the martyrdom of Naib Subedar Sanobar Ali in the suicide blast.
The statement indicated that the suicide blast also resulted in injuries to five soldiers.
Additionally, the ISPR statement informed that security forces have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation.
Pakistan Armed Forces affirmed their determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism, emphasizing that the sacrifices of courageous individuals bolster their resolve.
The suicide blast took place in the Mali Khel area of Janikhel in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PM terms it cowardly attack
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar expressed his heartbreak over a cowardly terrorist act that resulted in the loss of 9 valiant soldiers in Bannu Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The act also inflicted injuries on many.
He commented, “Such acts are utterly reprehensible.”
“My thoughts are with the families of the martyred and injured. Pakistan stands resolute against such terror,” the premier further said.
