Last Supermoon
ISLAMABAD: It looks very amazing that the last supermoon of this calendar year 2023 is coinciding with the birthday of the holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on Friday.
People must prepare for a captivating celestial spectacle as the fourth and final supermoon of 2023 graces the night sky on Sept 29, 2023.
The next super blue moon is not expected until January and March 2037, making these celestial events all the more exceptional.
On Friday night, the extraordinary occurrence takes place when the moon approaches its closest point to Earth in its orbit. It makes the moon larger and more radiant than usual.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Muslim ummah will be celebrating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In Pakistan, this event will be celebrated with traditional religious enthusiasm.
Moreover, as we bid farewell to summer, the harvest supermoon will reach its peak luminosity on Friday (September 29), as it ascends into the night sky.
For both farmers and stargazers, it is also known as the “corn moon,” symbolizing the culmination of summer harvests.
Although the harvest moon usually graces the skies in September, it occasionally makes its appearance in October once every three years. This subtle shift in timing adds to the allure of this lunar spectacle.
The term “harvest” in the harvest moon’s name harkens back to a time when moonlight played a vital role for farmers toiling late into the night. This precious light allowed them to swiftly gather their crops before rain could spoil the harvest.
For those who miss this week’s supermoon, patience will be required, as the next one won’t illuminate the night sky until late summer 2024.
Super Blue Moon
In addition to the harvest moon, 2023 has graced us with a series of supermoon, including the buck moon in July, the sturgeon moon in August, and a rare super blue moon in August.
