MDCAT 2023
The Khyber Medical University (KMU) has officially released the results of the re-conducted Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) on Sunday, a crucial examination for admissions to medical colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The MDCAT 2023 results, now available on the Khyber Medical University’s website, revealed that six candidates secured the top positions with an impressive score of 192 marks. The detailed breakdown indicated that 2,982 candidates fell within the score range of 170 to 179.
Providing context to the scale of participation, the KMU reported that out of 46,000 registered candidates, a substantial number of 34,000 took part in the MDCAT retest, while 11,300 registered candidates were absent on the test day. The re-conducted test became necessary following the cancellation of the previous MDCAT test due to the Bluetooth scandal. In response, the responsibility for conducting the test was shifted from ETA to the Khyber Medical University.
The decision to re-conduct the MDCAT was accompanied by stringent measures implemented by the caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These measures aimed to ensure the integrity of the examination process and address concerns raised by candidates and the public following the Bluetooth scandal.
It is noteworthy that social media platforms, including Twitter, became channels for expressing concerns over the MDCAT results, reflecting the significance of the examination in determining future academic paths for aspiring medical professionals.
The release of the MDCAT 2023 results marks a crucial milestone in the admissions process for medical and dental colleges in KP. The transparency and accuracy of these results are pivotal in shaping the academic journeys of thousands of candidates aspiring to pursue careers in the medical field.
