KARACHI / ISLAMABAD: In a recent update, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir has verified that the women appearing in the videos are indeed associated with the school’s teaching staff.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Hasan Sardar, asserted that the accused principal had allegedly victimized female teaching staff and had a history of trapping other women who came for interviews.
SSP revealed that the accused’s mobile phone contained as many as 25 indecent videos of four different women, all recorded at different times.
He stated that they are conducting investigation from every possible angle. Further, they will record statements from school staff members.
Key Developments in Case
SSP Investigation Ali Mardan claimed the involvement of three individuals in this heinous crime. These individuals are Ali, Kashif, and Shakeel. They are currently on the run.
Ali Mardan further revealed that the three accused had access to cameras and allegedly used them to blackmail the victims. Additionally, one of the accused deliberately leaked an indecent video of a victim.
Underlining the seriousness of the situation, SSP Hasan Sardar emphasized that “This is a high-profile case, and those responsible will not escape justice.”
Authorities have arrested the accused school principal, Irfan Ghafoor Memon, on charges of sexually assaulting teachers and other staff members.
Upon the emergence of a video scandal, the accused has requested ‘capital punishment’.
In a statement, the arrested individual, Irfan, claimed to be ashamed of his actions and asserted that none of the school staff members appeared in the videos.
After the principal’s arrest, sources indicated that Sindh Caretaker Education Minister Rana Hussain issued orders to seal the school. He ordered to seal the school until the authorities complete the whole process of investigation into the video scandal.
Following these directives, the Directorate of Private Institutions instructed DC Malir to seal the premises of the unregistered private school.
