ISLAMABAD: On Saturday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement announcing that the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul hosted the graduation ceremony for the 148th PMA Long Course, 67th Integrated Course, 35th Technical Graduate Course, and the 22nd Lady Cadet Course.
The event featured Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf as the principal dignitary. Cadets hailing from Iraq, Maldives, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, and Yemen were also part of the graduating class.

During the ceremony, the chief guest presented awards to exceptional cadets. The prestigious Sword of Honour was bestowed upon Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdur Rehman Awan from the 148th PMA Long Course.
Furthermore, the President’s Gold Medal was granted to Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Hamza Khalid, who belonged to the 148th PMA Long Course. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Battalion Senior Under Officer Shreejan Baniya, representing Nepal.
In addition, Commandant’s Canes were conferred upon Course Under Officer Muhammad Najam Azam from the 67th Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Fareeha Kainaat Arif from the 22nd Lady Cadet Course. The Chief of Army Staff Cane was presented to Company Quarter Master Sergeant Frasat Toufique from the 35th Technical Graduate Course.
Furthermore, Lieutenant General HLVM Liyanage, RWP, RSP, NDU, the Commander of the Sri Lankan Army, graced the occasion as the distinguished guest of honor.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa proposed Khan’s name during the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) meeting convened today to fill one of the two vacant seats in the top court.
During the meeting, CJP Isa declared, “Justice Irfan Saadat Khan fulfills the stipulated requirements, possesses extensive knowledge, vast experience, remarkable versatility, upholds an upright character, and stands as the most senior Judge among the Chief Justices and Judges of all the high courts.”
