Two-State Solution
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar stated on Sunday that Pakistan would stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and employ multilateral fora like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to mobilize collective support for their demands.
In an interview with the social media platform “Talk Shock,” the prime minister emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering stance on the Palestine issue, reaffirming its role as “a friend of Palestine.”

He assured continued diplomatic, social, and political support for Palestine on the global stage and stressed that the key to resolving the Palestine-Israel conflict and bringing stability to the Middle East lay in a two-state solution.
Caretaker Prime Minister Kakar also reiterated Pakistan’s non-recognition of Israel and highlighted the constant denial by Israel of Palestinians’ rights under the two-state mechanism.
He cautioned that the failure to address the “Palestine Question” could exacerbate radicalization and emphasized the need to resolve both the Palestine and Kashmir issues.
Regarding relations with India, he expressed Pakistan’s desire for normalcy but noted the importance of addressing the demands and aspirations of Kashmiris in the normalization process.
In addition, caretaker Prime Minister Kakar mentioned that the Chief of Army Staff upholds civilian supremacy and clarified that the court, not the government, would decide on Imran Khan’s release.
Regarding the ICC Cricket World Cup in India, he expressed his hope that Pakistan would perform well and stressed the importance of keeping sports separate from politics. He added that Pakistan would have issued visas to Indians if the World Cup were held in Pakistan.
