Heirs satisfied with suicide conclusion, decline investigation
ISLAMABAD: A 22-year-old housemaid was found dead in Lahore and her heirs are convinced that she committed suicide.
The woman, named Aqsa, was found hanging from a fan in the Kahna area of the city. Dr Ali Raza, the owner of the house, discovered her body.
Raza informed the police that he had left for a few hours, and upon returning, he discovered Aqsa’s body.
The police are currently investigating the incident, leaning towards the likelihood of it being a suicide.
They reported discovering a letter at the scene, in which Aqsa had written about being betrayed by an unidentified individual.
The victim’s heirs have declined to pursue legal action, expressing their belief that she took her own life.
The police announced their intention to release Aqsa’s body to her heirs following the autopsy.

Meanwhile, the Accountability Court Judge Kayani granted approval for the physical remand of Sohail Asghar Awan till August 16.
