Jail Authorities
The superintendent of Attock Jail informed the court that Imran Khan cannot use the telephone to speak with his sons under prison rules.
In a response filed in a contempt petition, the superintendent stated that they do not grant telephone privileges to individuals imprisoned under the Official Secrets Act.

Furthermore, the officer submitted a letter from the Punjab Prison Foundation, which stated that the Prison Rules of 1978 do not permit overseas calls for any prisoner.
The superintendent clarified that since no law allowed the phone call, there was no violation of court orders by not permitting it.
Judge Abu Alhasnaat Zulqurnain has scheduled arguments to be presented regarding the superintendent’s response on September 18. Overall, jail authorities denied permission related to Imran Khan communication with his sons.
