Jahangir Tareen launches his “Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party”
ISLAMABAD: PTI’s estranged leader Jahangir Khan Tareen launched his “Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party” along with Aleem Khan and many defectors of Pakistan-Tehrik-e-Insaf.
Tareen was once famous as one of the three ATMs of Imran Khan when PTI was in the opposition.
Importantly, several PTI defectors such as former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Fawad Chaudhry, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, and others have joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
Tareen said that he joined politics for a reason and joined PTI to achieve the desired goals they had dreamt for Pakistan.
Tareen said that the incidents on May 9 changed the political canvas of Pakistan. Therefore, he demanded action against the plotters of the May 9 riots.
He expressed hope that IPP will perform well in the upcoming elections and will serve the people according to their expectations.
Addressing the launching ceremony of the IPP, Aleem Khan said that they formed a new political party after consultation and Jahangir Tareen gathered everyone.
Aleem Khan, also an estranged PTI leader, said that all the leaders have gathered due to the political acumen of Tareen.
Iestehkam-e-Pakistan
Earlier, Jahangir Khan Tareen finalized the name of his political party _Â Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
Tareen finalized the name of the party after consulting his like-minded political leaders.
 Aun Chaudhry, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Sports and Tourism disclosed the name of their new party in Lahore. Chaudhry is a close ally of Jahangir Khan Tareen and an estranged PTI leader.
Tareen will announce the manifesto of his political party on Thursday (May 8).
According to sources, several PTI leaders are joining the party of Jahangir Khan Tareen after quitting the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.
Moreover, Jahangir Khan Tareen discussed the pros and cons of his party at a dinner at Aleem Khan’s residence.
At this dinner, he announced the name of the party. Tareen became active following the May 9 riots and the fallout from it.
