100000 Troops
The Israeli military has mobilized an estimated 100000 troops near Gaza’s conflict-ridden border.
This move comes amidst an ongoing conflict with Hamas, aimed at regaining control of the desert area near the Gaza Strip. As of the third day of clashes, the death toll has surged beyond 1,100.
A spokesperson for the Israeli military confirmed the deployment of 100,000 reserve troops near Gaza in their ongoing confrontation with Hamas.
In a video posted to X, the spokesperson stated, “We have assembled approximately 100,000 reserve troops currently stationed in southern Israel.” Jonathan Conricus, another military spokesperson, emphasized their mission: “Our objective is to ensure that by the end of this conflict, Hamas no longer possesses the military capability to endanger Israeli civilians.”
Conricus also noted that Israeli forces are actively pursuing the remaining Palestinian fighters who had infiltrated southern Israel.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cautioned Israel to brace itself for what he described as a “prolonged and challenging” conflict.
This warning followed a surprise assault by Hamas from Gaza, involving a barrage of rockets and a wave of fighters who targeted civilians and took over 100 hostages.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), more than 700 Israelis have lost their lives since the commencement of Hamas’s large-scale attack, marking the country’s most significant losses since the 1973 Arab-Israeli war.
In the Gaza Strip, officials reported at least 413 fatalities among its 2.3 million residents. The area has endured extensive Israeli airstrikes on 800 targets, heightening concerns of an impending ground invasion.
Israeli troops have been deployed to engage with entrenched Hamas fighters in the southern region. In this region, the streets and town centers have been marred by the presence of civilian casualties.
Hamas releases videos of captured soldiers and female singer
Hamas fighters released two different videos on Sunday. In one video, they showed a clip of Israeli soldiers in their custody. The captured soldiers are lying on the ground, terrified, and introduce themselves in the video.
Some social media users have uploaded Hamas fighters videos. Some are supporting Hamas fighters’ attack on Israel as revenge for killing thousands of Palestinians for decades.

Palestinians celebrate Hamas’s action against Israel.
Nevertheless, there are supporters of Israel as well on social media who are criticizing Hamas for attacking Israel.
