Bail Pleas
ISLAMABAD: The Special Court in Islamabad fixed for hearing bail pleas of PTI chairman Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the Cipher case. The hearing will take place on Sept 14.
The Special Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain announced the reserved verdict on Monday.
Former PM and PTI chairman Imran Khan and vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi filed their bail applications with the court.
The Federal Investigation Agency and the PTI lawyers removed objections on their applications in the Cipher case.
Earlier, the judge reserved the decision in this case.
Cipher case adjourned due to leave of Judge
Meanwhile, the lave of judge of the Official Secrets Act special court led to the adjournment of the hearing until September 11.
PTI lawyers, including Naeem Haider Panjotha, Intizar Panjotha, Khalid Yousuf, and Ali Bukhari, arrived at the Official Secrets Act court.
However, the court staff informed them that Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain was on leave.

As a result, the the court postponed the bail application without conducting any proceedings.
Expressing his concerns to the media outside the Judicial Complex, PTI lawyer Naeem Panjotha criticized the perception that justice seemed to be elusive for Imran Khan.
He stressed that imprisoning Imran Khan should result from a case that avoids causing national embarrassment.
Panjotha also brought up the swift verdict the sessions court issued when punishment was necessary.
Furthermore, the lawyer accused that someone had submitted a fabricated report in the high court regarding the former prime ministerโs facilities. Khan’s lawyer Naeem Panjotha called out the injustice of not considering the bail application.
