Islamabad District Administration Grants PTI Permission for Public Rally with Conditions

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration granted permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to organize a public rally in the federal capital.

During a hearing on a contempt of court plea filed by PTI in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), a representative from the Islamabad administration confirmed this development.

Initially, despite an IHC order, the Islamabad district administration had refused PTI permission to hold the rally.

However, during the hearing, it was revealed that the Deputy Commissioner’s Office has now reversed its decision, granting PTI permission to conduct the rally along the Rawat-GT Road.

Moreover, the district administration has issued a comprehensive No Objection Certificate (NOC) to PTI, encompassing 39 conditions that must be adhered to during the event.

One of the pivotal conditions outlined in the NOC is the strict prohibition of anti-state slogans and speeches during the course of the rally. Additionally, it is mandated that the event must conclude within the specified time frame.

This development comes amidst heightened political activity in the capital, with PTI gearing up to mobilize its supporters through the sanctioned public gathering. The decision marks a significant turn of events following the initial refusal, providing PTI with the opportunity to exercise its democratic right to assemble and express its views in the public domain.

As preparations for the rally commence, PTI supporters and observers alike await the event’s outcome, anticipating the political implications it may carry in the prevailing socio-political landscape of the country. The outcome of this rally, and how it shapes the broader political narrative, will be closely watched by stakeholders across the political spectrum, highlighting the significance of such gatherings in shaping the course of political developments in the nation.
