Three Years in Jail
ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad awarded three years in jail to former prime minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case. Police arrested Imran Khan soon after the decision of the court.
Lahore police arrested Imran Khan from his Zaman Park residence. Khan will be shifted to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
The court found Imran Khan guilty of corruption in the Toshakhana case and announced a three-year jail term for Khan. The district and sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar announced the verdict after holding Imran Khan guilty of corruption in the Toshakhana case.

Earlier, Former prime minister Imran Khan approached the Supreme Court and challenged the IHC verdict about the Toshakhana case.
On Friday, the apex court gave a strange decision in the Toshakhana case. On the one hand, the IHC rejected Imran Khanโs plea to transfer his case to another judge while on the other, the court asked the same judge to hear the case once again.
The chief justice of IHC Aamir Farooq announced the verdict. He declared null and void the District and Sessions court decision about the maintainability of the Toshakhana case.
However, the IHC asked the same judge (Humayun Dilawar) to hear the case once again.
IHC rejects the plea of Imran Khan and ordered the same judge to hear the case
Meanwhile, on Friday the Islamabad High Court today rejected Imran Khanโs plea of transferring his case from trial court judge Humayun Dilawar to another judge.
The IHC, however, declared null and void the decision of the district and sessions court about the maintainability of the Toshakhana case against Imran Khan.

In its reserved verdict announced today, the IHC directed the district and sessions court Judge Humayun Dilawar Khan to hear this case once again.
The IHC has given its verdict at a time when the district and sessions court was going to announce its decision against Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.
Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Justice Amir Farooq announced the verdict today.
PTI chairman Imran Khan anticipates his disqualification in the Toshakhana case. He believed this after a district and sessions court declared four witnesses in the case as irrelevant.
