Mastung Blast
Caretaker Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai declared Pakistan’s determination to avenge the deaths of at least 59 individuals in the Mastung blast, emphasizing the government’s commitment to pursue the terrorists responsible.
During a press conference in Quetta on Sunday, which centered on the blast, he affirmed, “We will bring terrorists out of their dens. We will take revenge for our martyrs. Security forces have rendered immense sacrifices to counter-terrorism.”
The tragedy unfolded as devotees gathered for a religious procession on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, with a suicide bomber detonating himself, claiming the lives of 55 people on that day, as they celebrated the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on a Friday.

Achakzai echoed similar sentiments, suggesting India’s involvement in terror attacks without explicitly naming the country or power behind them. He asserted that foreign powers aimed to undermine Pakistan, a nation that has long contended with external efforts to obstruct its multi-billion dollar development project, particularly focused in Balochistan.
The Information Minister reaffirmed that the nation’s development trajectory ran through key areas such as Gwadar (the port city), Saindak (rich in gold and minerals), and Sui (abundant in natural gas).
The blast took the life of a police officer, and approximately 150 police personnel had secured the religious processions. The provincial information minister disclosed that the suicide bomber was a teenager, and investigations into the blast were at a high level.
Additionally, they unveiled a compensation package, which will provide Rs1.5 million to each blast victim and Rs500,000 to each critically injured individual.
He also noted that COAS Munir had conveyed his vision that retribution would be sought for the Mastung blast.
