US President-elect Donald Trump has once again captured the internet’s attention, this time for what appears to be a dramatic change in his hairstyle, sparking widespread speculation on social media.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by supporter Michael Solakiewicz, the 78-year-old president-elect was seen dressed in golfing attire, including a branded Trump polo shirt, at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
The 21-second clip shows Trump with noticeably flatter or shorter hair, a stark departure from the iconic bouffant style that has been a hallmark of his public image for decades. Entering a room to applause, he briefly engages with his audience, asking, “Is everybody having a good time?” The crowd responds with cheers before he quips, “Is everybody a Republican?” drawing even more applause.
The video has left many wondering whether Trump has permanently changed his signature look or if this new appearance is simply temporary. At a press conference on Monday, Trump was seen with his usual voluminous hairstyle, adding to the uncertainty.
Initially, many believed Trump had opted for a bold new haircut, with his hair slicked down in a style that markedly contrasts with his familiar look. However, others speculated that the appearance was simply a case of “hat hair” from wearing a golf cap.
The moment also triggered déjà vu for some social media users. In June 2019, during his first term as president, Trump was briefly spotted with a flatter, more subdued hairstyle, a departure that similarly attracted attention online. However, he quickly returned to his classic bouffant style shortly thereafter.
Whether the change is intentional or incidental, it has once again placed Trump’s distinctive hair in the spotlight, proving its enduring role in his public persona.
