KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies in Karachi’s historic Old City area successfully apprehended an alleged Indian spy and a Pakistani facilitator. Identified as Akhil Dev, he is reportedly responsible for participating in espionage activities on behalf of India.
The operation took place under the jurisdiction of Kalakot police station in Lyari and resulted in the discovery of substantial incriminating evidence. This arrest has revealed a concerning breach of security that could have far-reaching implications for the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.

Among the items confiscated from the suspect were two Indian passports, firearms, and foreign currency totaling five lakhs. Furthermore, the search yielded fake jewelry boxes, six mobile phones, a tablet, and various documents.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) City, Arif Aziz, this arrest underscores the unwavering dedication and vigilance of Pakistani law enforcement agencies in safeguarding national security interests.
The investigation is currently ongoing to identify any potential collaborators associated with the arrested individual, reflecting a comprehensive effort to dismantle the espionage network.
