KARACHI / ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, Inspector General (IG) Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja announced that Pakistan will deport illegal immigrants as soon as possible.
IG Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja led the law and order session today, where he mentioned that recommendations regarding illegal immigrants had been sent to the government. These recommendations encompass the establishment of a joint task force and holding centers for illegal immigrants, marking a declaration of war against street criminals.

The IG Sindh outlined plans for strict monitoring of border areas and the prevention of smuggling through collaborative efforts with relevant institutions.
Additionally, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Khadim Hussain Rind reported that new police teams had received specific tasks to combat criminals, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards them.
Earlier this month, Caretaker Minister for Interior Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti directed relevant authorities to develop a comprehensive strategy for repatriating foreign individuals residing illegally in Pakistan during a meeting on the law and order situation. Bugti stressed the government’s top priority in maintaining law and order and expressed a firm stance against any disruptive activities by individuals or groups.
He instructed authorities to finalize the action plan for opening three more border crossings on the Pakistan-Iran border and emphasized the need to clarify the roles of police and security agencies to enhance their performance. Bugti also called for providing advanced training and resources to the civil armed forces.
Regarding the security of foreigners, Bugti directed authorities to ensure the implementation of the code of conduct and facilitate visa applicants for business and investment. They scheduled another meeting for the following week to assess the National Action Plan’s progress.
