IHC to Hear Imran’s Bail Plea Tomorrow in Cipher Case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has scheduled the hearing of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s bail application in the cipher case for Monday. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq will hear Imran Khan’s bail application, and the court has also issued a notice to the FIA for arguments.

The Special Court, formed under the Official Secrets Act, had previously rejected Imran Khan’s bail application.

Furthermore, the Islamabad High Court has reserved its decision on Imran Khan’s request to transfer the trial of his case from Attock to Adiala Jail.

Chief Justice Farooq will preside over the petition during the re-hearing of the case scheduled for September 25.

The Islamabad High Court, with Chief Justice Aamer Farooq presiding, will hear Imran Khan’s bail application in the Cipher case on Monday. A decision regarding transferring the trial to Adiala Jail is scheduled for September 25.

Injection Allegedly Causing Vision Loss Recalled, Says Health Minister

Moreover, caretaker Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan announced the recall of a locally manufactured injection allegedly causing vision loss in several Punjab patients. He confirmed that the injection’s suppliers were facing a registered case.

Following reports of diabetic patients losing their eyesight after receiving locally manufactured “Avastin” injections at various hospitals in Punjab, the provincial government formed a five-member committee to investigate the matter.

The affected patients included the brother of senior PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor and his friend.

In Islamabad, alongside Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr. Jamal Nasir, Minister Nadeem Jan revealed that they had received reports regarding the injections from multiple districts, including Multan, Kasur, Lahore, and Sadiqabad.
