In a remarkable display of integrity and duty, a Pakistan Railways police officer went above and beyond to return a woman passenger’s lost purse containing valuable items.
The incident occurred when Bushra, a resident of Islamabad, disembarked from the Subak Kharam Express at Chaklala railway station. Unfortunately, she left her purse behind, which held a significant sum of Rs144,000, four valuable gold rings worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, an ATM card, and an identity card.

The situation prompted a diligent response from Railways Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Idrees, who was on duty at Chaklala railway station. ASI Idrees took custody of the purse and began efforts to locate its rightful owner.
Through the contact number found on a medical prescription within the purse, ASI Idrees successfully identified the passenger, Bushra. After verifying her identity, he securely returned the valuable purse to Bushra’s son.
Bushra expressed her deep appreciation to the railway police personnel for their exceptional honesty and commendable initiative in returning her precious belongings.
