ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, Hamza Shehbaz, the Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), emphasized the importance of revitalizing the country’s economy to address the issues faced by the public.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, the former Punjab chief minister asserted that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif is unjustly facing false legal cases. He pointed out the extensive power outages, recalling that Nawaz Sharif had taken measures to address the problems associated with up to 16 hours of power cuts.
Hamza Shehbaz also highlighted the economic achievements during the PML-N’s tenure, mentioning a 6 percent growth rate when they left office and plans to provide free electricity for up to 100 units, which were hindered by favoritism. He expressed regret that even essential cancer treatment drugs became unavailable.
Hamza emphasized the need for political parties to unite on a common agenda, considering the country’s current situation. He called for accountability for those who had embezzled the nation’s wealth.
On a separate occasion, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif declared his determination to lead the country out of its current challenges. He expressed his party’s eagerness to participate energetically in the upcoming general elections and emphasized the record development accomplished during their tenure.
