A grand operation is expected at the zaman park residence of Imran Khan as Punjab government’s 24-hour deadline expires
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: A grand operation of police and rangers is expected at the Zaman Park residence of former prime minister Imran Khan as the Punjab government’s 24-hour deadline to PTI to hand over 30-40 terrorists expired at 2 pm today.
On Wednesday, the caretaker Punjab government gave a 24-hour deadline to PTI (Imran Khan) with the assertion that 30-40 terrorists were hiding at Zaman Park.
According to the latest information, Lahore police have sealed roads leading to Zaman Park. Police officials are managing the entry and exit of the residents of the area with adequate scrutiny.
Heavy police contingents have been deployed in the area to conduct operations at Zaman Park at any time when the deadline ends.
Punjab Govt’s 24-hour deadline for PTI
On Wednesday, the caretaker information minister Aamir Mir announced a 24-hour deadline for the PTI to surrender the terrorists hiding at Zaman Park.
Provincial Minister Aamir Mir said, “PTI should hand over the terrorists, or the law will take its course.”

Mir said while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday. He asserted that the intelligence agencies have spotted the presence of the terrorists at the Zaman Park residence of Imran Khan.
He said, “The intelligence report that has come is very alarming.”
“PTI is starting to behave like a non-state actor,” said Aamir Mir said, adding that the PTI chief has been targeting the military for more than a year.
Punjab Minister claimed that the PTI leadership had planned the attack well before the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan.
Jehangir Tareen blames PTI for violence
Former PTI leader and ex-ATM of Imran Khan, Jehangir Khan Tareen held PTI responsible for arsons and attacks on Jinnah House and other military places on May 9.
Meanwhile, one more PTI leader and former federal minister Amir Mahmood Kiyani left the party today. He told the media that he had taken the decision two months ago, but announced it today.
