LAHORE /ISLAMABAD: Once again, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has increased the toll tax rates on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M2).
The notification states that the new taxes applied to the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) took effect on August 26 and will remain imposed for the next 12 months.
The revised rates include a car toll rate increase of Rs 3.7 per km, bringing it to Rs 1100. Similarly, the wagon toll has been increased to Rs 1840.
Additionally, the coaster fare has been elevated by Rs 7.22 to Rs 2,590, and the toll tax for a coach has been hiked by 10.29 to Rs 3,690.
According to the notification, the toll tax for trailers on the Lahore-Islamabad motorway has been increased to Rs 6,170.

Meanwhile, officials verified that the Osprey vertical takeoff aircraft had transported US “defence personnel.” Media reported approximately 20 individuals were aboard during the incident.
The Care Flight rescue service informed that they had promptly transferred three passengers to Darwin Hospital. Among them, one is in critical condition while the other two remain stable.
“At this critical early stage, our focus is on the incident response and ensuring the safety of those involved,” the Defence Department said in a statement, further adding that Australian soldiers were “not involved”.
