On Wednesday, Google Doodle captivated users with its featured animation of ‘pani puri,’. It is an immensely popular street food in South Asia, also known as ‘gol gappay’ in Pakistan.
Google Doodle creatively transforms the search engine’s logo. The aim is to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, famous figures, and traditions, and delight users with this interactive and charming digital art.
The animation depicted a vibrant street food stall, complete with a vendor and a customer at each end. Upon clicking the play button, a popup appeared, offering users a choice between two game modes: ‘Timed’ and ‘Relaxed.’
In both modes, players had the enjoyable task of selecting various flavors. They also chose quantities of gol gappas to fulfill the unique preferences of each customer.
What is Pani Puri?
Pani puri, or gol gappay, is a beloved street food. It consists of a crispy shell filled with a delectable combination of potatoes, chickpeas, spices, and sometimes chilis. A range of flavored waters typically serves it. The tamarind pulp is a key ingredient in creating a distinctive taste.
The Google Doodle description emphasized that there is a wide variety of pani puri options available to suit every individual’s taste buds.
