Four Terrorists Killed in Separate Operations Across KP: ISPR

Four terrorists were killed by security forces in two operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Sunday.

According to a statement from the military’s media wing, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in North Waziristan District. During an intense gunfight, two terrorists, including Insaf Ullah, were neutralized.

In a separate operation in Khyber District, ISPR noted that security forces effectively engaged another terrorist location, killing two individuals and injuring three.

The military recovered weapons and ammunition from the slain terrorists, who were reportedly involved in multiple attacks targeting both law enforcement agencies and civilians. Security forces have since launched an area-clearing operation to eliminate any remaining militants, reiterating their commitment to eradicating terrorism in Pakistan.

This follows a deadly suicide bombing a day earlier in North Waziristan, where six people, including four police officers, were killed and several injured in an attack on a police post in Eidak, Mir Ali. The wounded were taken to a nearby hospital, and the area was secured by law enforcement.

Militant attacks in Pakistan have risen since the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan in 2021, impacting KP and Balochistan, which shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran. Islamabad has accused Afghanistan’s interim government of not addressing militants using Afghan soil to orchestrate attacks on Pakistan.
